In the first days of my stay in New York I want to visit some places that I have never been to. The Morris-Jumel Mansion and it’s surrounding neighborhood (especially Sylvan Terrace) is remarkable. Not only because it is the highest elevation in Manhattan and the oldest remaining building. It is also very quiet up here with very few tourists. (On Saturday I was the only one visiting). The building looks pretty worn down, making everything feel even more historic.
