Visited both parts of the Trinity Church Cemetery, the ›only remaining active cemetery‹ in Manhattan, located in the Washington Heights (Upper Manhattan). It was a great pleasure to go there: lots of interesting chiseled typefaces to look at and to study. Very quiet and peaceful, too. Hardly any tourist showed up. Many vaults and tombstones show (charming) signs of decay and evanescence: the are slowly falling apart, nature takes over.
